Terms of Service
Effective date: July 1, 2026 · Last updated: July 1, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SuRemote's website at suremote.com and the remote staffing services we provide. By booking a call, signing a service agreement, or engaging SuRemote in any capacity, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
References to "SuRemote," "we," "us," or "our" refer to SuRemote and its operators. References to "you" or "client" refer to the business or individual engaging our services.
1. Our services
SuRemote is a remote staffing service that sources, vets, and places remote professionals — including executive assistants, operations virtual assistants, and finance professionals — with startup founders and business operators.
Our role is to:
Understand your staffing requirements through a discovery call
Source, screen, interview, and shortlist suitable candidates from our talent network
Present you with the best-matched candidates for your approval
Handle ongoing payroll, tax compliance, and contract administration for placed professionals
Provide a replacement at no cost if the placement does not meet the terms of our guarantee
SuRemote acts as the intermediary employer of placed professionals. You direct the day-to-day work of your placed professional, but they remain contracted through SuRemote for the duration of your engagement.
2. Eligibility
Our services are available to registered businesses and business operators. By engaging SuRemote, you confirm that you are acting on behalf of a legitimate business entity and have the authority to enter into a service agreement.
3. Free trial week
Every new client receives one free trial week with their placed professional. During this period, you will not be billed for the service. The trial begins on the date your placed professional starts work. If you choose not to continue after the trial week, you may cancel with no charge.
The free trial applies to your first placement only. If you request a replacement during the trial week, a new trial period does not automatically begin for the replacement placement.
4. Pricing and payment
Our services are priced on a flat monthly basis as published on our pricing page. Pricing is as follows at the time of publication:
Executive Assistant — $1,499/month (full-time) or $999/month (part-time)
Operations VA — $1,699/month (full-time) or $1,199/month (part-time)
Finance Professional — from $1,899/month (full-time) or from $1,399/month (part-time)
Pricing is subject to change. Any changes to your pricing will be communicated at least 30 days in advance. Your billing begins after the free trial week ends and you confirm you wish to continue.
First-time client discount: All first-time clients receive a 15% discount on their first month of service, applied automatically — no code required.
Invoices are issued monthly. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date. Late payments may result in a temporary suspension of your placed professional's services until the outstanding balance is settled.
5. The 60-day replacement guarantee
If your placed professional is not the right fit for your business within the first 60 days of the paid engagement, we will find and place a replacement at no additional cost. To trigger the guarantee, notify us in writing at guiseppe.declercq@suremote.com within the 60-day period.
The guarantee applies once per placement. It covers situations where the professional is not performing adequately or is not a suitable match for your stated requirements. It does not cover situations where your requirements change significantly after placement, or where the working relationship breaks down due to client conduct.
6. Cancellation
There are no long-term contracts. You may cancel your SuRemote engagement at any time by providing 14 days' written notice to guiseppe.declercq@suremote.com.
During the notice period, your placed professional will continue working and you will be billed pro-rata for any days within that period. No refunds are issued for completed billing periods.
7. Direct hiring
Your placed professional is contracted through SuRemote. If you wish to hire your placed professional directly as an employee or independent contractor, you must notify SuRemote in writing. A direct hire fee equivalent to two months of the applicable service rate will apply. This fee reflects the cost of sourcing, vetting, and training the professional.
8. Client responsibilities
As a client, you agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information about your role requirements and working environment
Treat all placed professionals with respect and in compliance with applicable employment and workplace standards
Not engage in any conduct that constitutes harassment, discrimination, or abuse
Pay invoices in a timely manner as outlined in Section 4
Notify SuRemote promptly if any concerns arise regarding your placed professional
SuRemote reserves the right to end a placement without refund if a client is found to have breached these responsibilities.
9. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary or sensitive business information shared in the course of the engagement. This includes candidate profiles, client business details, and any commercial terms discussed during the sales process.
This confidentiality obligation survives the termination of any service agreement and remains in effect indefinitely.
10. Limitation of liability
SuRemote's liability in connection with any service engagement is limited to the total fees paid by the client in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
SuRemote is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including lost profits or business interruption, arising from the performance or non-performance of a placed professional. Our obligation in such cases is limited to the replacement guarantee described in Section 5.
We do not guarantee specific business outcomes as a result of using our services.
11. Intellectual property
All content on suremote.com — including text, design, logos, and graphics — is the property of SuRemote and may not be reproduced, copied, or distributed without written permission.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Suriname, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms will first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes will be submitted to the courts with jurisdiction in Paramaribo, Suriname.
Clients based in jurisdictions with mandatory consumer protection laws retain any rights afforded to them by local law.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify active clients by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of our services after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
